  1. but there is no bird-reservoir for mammalean flu-A either, no H3N2,H1N1,equine H3N8.

    So these can theoretically be eradicated too (by vaccination?).

    But other strains of flu-A (H5N1,H9N2,H7..)may emerge from birds in future…

    H3N2, if eradicated in humans,swine is unlikely to emerge and

    transfer from birds again (IMO)
